Typing on Pubmed "(malaria) AND (ELQ-300) AND (safety OR reduction of symptoms)”  and using the Limits function to indicate "child" I found an article published on September 2015. The authors define ELQ-300 as a preclinical candidate that targets liver and blood stages of malaria. A significant obstacle to the clinical development of ELQ-300 are its physicochemical properties (such as the poor aqueous solubility) therefore the scientists develop the prodrugs ELQ-337 to deliver the active drug to the bloodstream at sufficient concentration for safety and toxicology studies, as well as to achieve single-dose cures.
