Dear DA_2022,
the last 5 minutes, of today's lecture were important (thanks to a remark by Martina Roiati).
We have reached a bona fide (that means of general impact) metodological statement:
"Whenever you adopt a procedure that relatively increases the p- value of your test you are tending to protect
yourself against the risk of type I errors".
A context in which this attitude is implemented is that of the Bonferroni correction. I invite you to search around and answer the question (writing a short essay is not prohibited) WHAT IS THE BONFERRONI CORRECTION?
On monday I would like to start with a free discussion of that.
Warmest regards.
