In questo testo c'è una frase che mi ha fatto molto riflettere sull'educazione, ed è:

"From the moment I could talk 
I was ordered to listen"

La trovo molto vera. Bambini e ragazzi hanno molto bisogno di parlare e di essere ascoltati davvero, profondamente. Insegnando già da tre anni, vedo nei miei alunni un bisogno forte di essere ascoltati, ma anche una incapacità di ascoltare gli altri.

Allora mi sembra molto importante questo aspetto: dell'imparare ad ascoltare, proprio per permettere a tutti di parlare ed essere ascoltati.
