📢 Announcement – Applied Statistics Laboratory (Group Exercise)
Dear students,
Today’s class will take place without my in-person attendance.
During the scheduled lesson hours, please work independently or in small groups (2–5 students) on the exercise available in the section Applied Statistics Laboratory (inside Materials Used During the Lessons).
The activity, titled “Group Exercise – Career Expectations Survey Analysis (R-based)”, asks you to analyze selected variables from the survey using the statistical tools covered in our recent lectures.
Your goals are to:
-
Perform descriptive analyses and simple correlation or association tests in R.
-
Produce a short written report (max 2 pages) including graphs, tables, and the R codes used for the analysis (you can paste them directly inside the document).
💡 Suggestions:
Before importing the dataset into R, carefully check its structure and ensure that the variables are displayed correctly (e.g., quantitative variables should contain only numbers). If needed, perform some basic data cleaning before proceeding with the analysis.
Please upload your report (.pdf or .docx) — containing both the results and the R code — on Moodle before the next lesson.
We will discuss the findings together in class next time.
Best,
Prof. Ilaria Benedetti
