The difference between our opportunity to learn English (or other languages) and the one of our parents is incomparable.

In fact we have first of all thanks to school the possibility to take cheaper courses, study English at school (for example my mother has never studied English) or take part in cultural exchanges. In these you can learn the English of real life and not only a scholastic English and above all you can approach to English culture e way of life.

Also we have the opportunity to listen English sitting at the desk thanks to Internet that allows us to watch video, films, TV series in the original language.

Moreover for generation of my parents English wasn’t considered really important, but today it’s considered the universal language and in a world that is always more globalized the language is necessary to communicate, cohabit and exchange ideas. In fact if we think to scientific world we can notice that all the articles are in English that become necessary.

Also at school it has been introduced the CLIL, the opportunity to study some subjects like math, science or history in English, but this project isn’t useful yet because teachers are often unprepared to teach in English, but if we invest money and time in all of these projects we’ll can know English very well in the future.
