This is the first course in Macroeconomic Financial Accounts and covers the following topics: 1) financial systems at glance; 2) deriving net lending and net borrowing; 3) financial transactions, instruments, and interconnections; 4) stocks and financial wealth; 5) accumulation; 6) financial stability.

Each topic includes three video lectures (with accompanying slides) and is supposed to be completed in one week with a final on-topic assignment, which is both self-assessed and corrected by other peers. Video tutorials on how to download data from the major international data warehouses (OECD, ECB, etc.), podcasts and additional reference material are included. Two tutors will guide you in this journey and help you to understand the topic, answering your question through a weekly chat and managing the forum for discussions.
