Design Studio aims to to refine the student's approach to the contemporary design within the urban fabric. It rises at the beginning of a last logical-analytical phase where the understanding of the morphological analysis of the urban area will be fundamental to understand the behaviour complementary of several elements within the larger complex urban system, from the building fabric to the urban organism.

The Architectural activities foresee the reading of the urban fabric, the interpretation of the role and the functions that, at different scales, can perform new buildings and appurtenances.

As general subject of the year the Design Studio proposes: the architectural design of an urban environment, to complete an unsolved architectural enlargement. The present inconsistent architectural solution into the urban fabric, will be solved through the partial replacement of a part of the existing building located in the central fabric of the town.

This year the theme of Design Studio will be the Linden museum in Stuttgart. We will work in parallel to the Design Studio of prof. Alexander Schwarz in Stuggart.
