The Labour economics and policy course in 2025-26 is open to:
- Students in their first year of the degree course EPOS 2025-26 (“policy evaluation” curriculum) as a compulsory course (9 credits): I will be teaching the second module (4 weeks) while the first module (8 weeks) is taught by Prof. G. Croce.
In my module I will cover the following topics:
1. The technology-employment nexus: classical, neoclassical, Keynesian and evolutionary approaches
2. The impact of robotization on employment and wages: summarizing the empirical evidence with meta-analysis
3. Digitalization, AI and labour markets
The Course features STATA labs (details on schedule and classrooms will be reported on the moodle page) where students will replicate three empirical papers presented in class. All the materials (.dta and .do files) will be uploaded here:https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/dcflcz1t3eb2hstgbzrhp/ALXoAfttNoGwohKe6fOka0U?rlkey=sspvpwfes23a9u9iknnrga0ut&st=vsbjv3l9&dl=0
I highly recommend students to attend the classes as the exam is strictly based on their content: I will upload the slides as well as useful information on this moodle page
