The Phytogeography and Applied Geobotany Course will cover topics ranging from taxonomy to vegetation science (including environmental survey and monitoring techniques), landscape ecology, and sustainable environmental conservation and management.
The course will be divided into two modules, the first taught by Professor Romeo Di Pietro (October-November) and the second by Professor Fabio Attorre (December-January). Both modules will include classroom lectures, field trips, and laboratory work.
Students will be assessed through midterm assignments, a written midcourse exam, and the presentation of a research project on PowerPoint.
