The course aims to train students in the field of HBIM, the specific adaptation of Building Information Modeling designed to support activities related to the knowledge, restoration, transformation, and management of the built heritage and historical buildings, which are particularly abundant in our country.
The application of BIM (Building Information Modeling) processes to existing buildings—known as Heritage Building Information Modeling (HBIM)—is a rapidly growing sector in all fields related to the documentation and management of cultural heritage.
The proposed activities are structured into two main sections. The first focuses on framing the HBIM process from a methodological perspective, positioning it between research and professional practice while aligning it with current documentation needs (surveying). The second consists of practical activities related to software tool applications, conducting experiments similar to those found in professional environments.
