The overall aim is to provide the theoretical and methodological tools necessary to understand the different approaches that characterize clinical psychophysiology, as well as the key aspects concerning psychopathology and its diagnosis, fostering the development of critical skills. By the end of the course, students will be able to:

a) Understand how the mind and body interact to influence subjective experience, behavior, and psychological health;

b) Grasp the main etiological models and the latest neuroscientific paradigms used in clinical psychophysiology;

c) Comprehend the neurobiological basis of major mental disorders and their symptoms;

d) Recognize the most innovative psychotherapeutic models;

e) Identify the primary biomarkers and predictors of efficacy for psychotherapeutic approaches.
