Welcome to the 2024 course of European Union Law!

This year's program will be focused on three parts:

1. The EU, its institutions, legal system and fundamental principles, jurisdictional protection, competences, legal sources and fundamental rights.

2. The internal single market and its four fundamental freedoms (an introduction)

3. The Digital SIngle Market and the challenges of technological development and innovation

The textbooks for the exam are all open access, and you can find them in the feed for the first week of course, on this platform.

The exam will be oral, strating from the January 2025 session. However, during the course I will give you written assignments/essays on specific topics of the course and you may make projects and in-class presentations that will cover parts of the program and concur to the final grade. I will better explain all of this in the first days of class.

Our schedule:

Mondays, from 2 to 4, classroom Onida in the Building of the Faculty of Economics

Thursdays, from 10 to 12, classroom RE 3, in the Residenza Serianni, Via del Castro Laurenziano.

All our correspondence will be on this platform (materials, class slides, assignments, grades) so enrolling here is required.

I hope you will enjoy the semester in Rome!
