The course aims to provide the methodological tools of investigation required to address the study and the analysis of historic formation processes of cities, urban space and settlement systems. Class will feature an introduction to the history of cities from the ancient age to the 20th century and focus on the methodology that designers need to acquire in order to engage in professional discourse on the topic.
