Approfondire le strategie utilizzate dal virus durante le varie fasi del ciclo replicativo, le basi molecolari della loro influenza sulla fisiologia della cellula ospite, nonché il loro utilizzo in biotecnologia. Illustrare vecchie e nuove scoperte relative ai meccanismi molecolari responsabili della patogenicità del virus, ai progressi nella protezione contro le malattie virali umane e all'impatto che la ricerca in virologia molecolare ha avuto, e ha ancora sui concetti biologici in generale

Highlight the strategies used by viruses at various stages of their life cycle, the molecular basis of their influence on host cell physiology, and their applications in biotechnology. Present both new and established findings on the molecular mechanisms underlying viral pathogenicity, advances in the protection against human viral diseases, and the impact of molecular virology research on biological concepts in general.
