This is the two-semester 'lettorato' course for first-year students at ISO. We cover the first eight units of the coursebook Keynote Upper Intermediate (published by Cengage-National Geographic), which is level B2. (The last four units we cover in the optional ENG 2 course, one semester, the second year.)
Your multiple-choice exam will be on all the key words, expressions and grammar in the first 3 sections of every unit. This includes the transcripts of the TED Talks in each unit and any transcripts of audios, along with the short reading section and the two-page grammar section.
Passing this exam starting in June with an 18 allows you to go on to the Linguistica exam with the docente. NOTE: my exam is valid for an entire year.
You are exempt from the lettorato exam if you can show you have an international language certificate, such as Cambridge, with a result at B2 or C1 level.
NOTE: You will also find your marks on this elearning platform, along with the class files for every week of the course. No recordings available as of this writing!
