The course aims to provide a background on concepts and methodologies of automatic controls in process control, particularly Internal Model Control and Model Predictive Control, and to apply them to suitably modeled examples of industrial processes. Students will be able to cover Internal Model Control methodologies and basic Model Predictive Control methodologies with specific reference to process control problems.
