The course is generally addressed to students from the Master of Science in Control Engineering (La Sapienza, University of Rome), albeit all students with a general background on linear systems theory and control is welcome.

It provides advanced techniques for analysis and design of dynamical systems as an extension of the basic courses on automatic control. It is aimed at providing a deeper understanding and extending the well-known results for analysis and control of linear systems to the nonlinear and multivariable cases.

Classes are given throughout the academic year and consist of two main parts:
1. Analysis of nonlinear systems (September-December);
2. Control of nonlinear systems (February-May).
