The course is meant to provide a historical and methodological introduction to the main issues of art in the second half of the 20th century, of its relationship with other arts and with the general historical context. Movements such as Abstract Expressionism, Informel, Neo-Dada, Pop Art, Minimalism, Post-Minimalism, Land art, Conceptual Art, and Transavanguardia will be discussed.
