The course aims to teach basic skills in the organization of a restoration site at its different stages and in its various aspects. In specific, the different requests of a restoration site will be put into evidence: on one side productivity and optimization of the work, on the other the needs of a historical-critical comprehension of the building. On these premises, the course deals with the problems of a building site and, more specifically, those of a restoration work (in specific reference to the sequence of operations to be performed and to the knowledge of the building).

In order to follow the lessons with profit it is necessary to possess, besides a good general knowledge, a basic knowledge related to the technology of the materials.

The course will deal with the topics of the working site organization with particular attention to the restoration working site. It will deal also with chronoprogram and with the construction site layout. A particular in-depth study will concern specific problems of the construction of scaffolding on historic artistic buildings. The visit to some construction sites for restoration will allow students to follow, and to understand, different stages of processing and the related organization within the construction sites.
