This is an intermediate level (B1) English Course for students of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage. The B1 Level according to the Common European Frame of Reference for Languages (CEFR) refers to independent users of language, those who can communicate without great effort, at least within familiar situations including those that are work and study related.

The main goal of this course is to help students access, understand and produce basic texts (handbooks, oral texts.) To that end, we will study and/or review fundamental grammar rules and structures, such as:

Tense revision (present, simple and continuous; present/past perfect simple and continuous; past, simple and continuous; future forms);

Zero, first, second, and third conditionals;

Passive voice;

Modal verbs…

We will study such structures and rules through grammar/vocabulary exercises, and through the reading and discussion of texts, both written and oral.
